I have never shopped for a guy. I don't even like shopping for myself! But I do have a pretty elegant style.
He needs shirts/ polo shirts and jeans for his work. Anything I should keep in mind? I have no clue about the fashion.
What store should we go to? We can shop in central / western Mass, and we both are college students (nothing That fancy, please).
What are the do's and don'ts?
First time shopping with and for my bf. Anything to keep in mind?
it took me forever to find somethin for my boyfriend the first time i went shopping...but its gotten easier..
buy something that means something to you and him....but it outta love... dont buy anything you would wear ~.^
Reply:a big no no is that you dont remind him of what it was like shopping with his mom
Reply:Shopping for a guy is easier than shopping for a woman, y'know? So just grab anything on the shelves that would look great on him. The one time i shopped with my boyfriend, i took the t-shirts that i always liked on a guy and got him to try them on.
Considering you're unsure of what exactly to get him, bring him out to shop with you.
His usual dressing should give you an idea of what type/concept he's into. Say, he's more of a 'rock star' look,or grunge or even the ed hardy type.
That way, you know where to shop and what to get him. Accesories for him would be nice, too. Maybe, a leather wrist cuff, if it goes along with his style.
Usually the t-shirts from Levi's is good enough. Or underground labels with quirky and quip writings on it. Just don't buy him anything drastic from his usual style.
You'd be fine, don't worry about it. ;p
Reply:Don't choose for him! Make suggestions but in the end you don't want him to buy something he don't like!
Also don't wonder into the girls clothing and forget why you are there... keep your focus on him. Also don't drag most men don't like shopping so don't stay for hours buy and get out don't hang around doing other stuff
Reply:There are no do's and dont's. Enjoy the day and don't think so much. Further I'm sure he has his own tastes and it's not up to you to be his tour guide. Have fun! Sometimes the most fun in a relationship is learning something new about them.
P.S. HOWEVER.. if it's casual clothes you need.. American Eagle Outfitters have great ones.. lol
Reply:By him some bikini briefs and then deny him sex.........HA HA HA HA.
Reply:Ok to get started, don't act like you need to get him everything and definitely do not show it. He should not ask you for anything but do let him know you have a little money. Tell him you are going to the bathroom or something and buy him some clothes. He will love you more for surprises! Try it bud and happy shopping!
Reply:I have never bought any clothing for my BF. That's one thing I won't do because some peeople are hard to pinpoint. Take a look at his usual style (colors, patterns, etc.) and see if that gives you any indication of what he might like.
And if you are shopping together, you might ask him if there is anywhere he would like to go in particular. And while you are shopping together, you might pick something up and say, "Do you like this?" etc. And while you are out looking, pay attention to the type of stuff that he looks at and tries on. That might give you clues for the future.
I am sure that you will do a good job. And even if it's not exactly his style, I am sure he will appreciate the thought and effort!
Go to Kohls, lol, I love that place.
