New Shopping centre?

I work in Bristol (UK) and the city is at the moment having a new shopping centre built, originally it was going to be called Merchants Quarter - but some people said it was too closely linked to the slave trade (personally I thought those in the slave trade were traders not merchants) Any way the new name has been broadcast on TV and Radio as Cabbot's Circus. Cabbot after John Cabbot (a local lad) who discoverd Newfoundland. So far every one who has heard of this name Cabbot's Circus thinks it is a load of bullocks so if you had to come up with a name for this new shopping centre what would you call it? Bear in mind it must have Cabbot in it. also what do you think of the name Cabbot's Circus?

New Shopping centre?
Hi!

Yeah, I have to agree with the majority there!

Circus? No!!

Howabout Cabbot's Corner - there's a really classy shopping centre (mall) in Washington DC that's called Tyson's Corner, and it has a nice ring to it.

Or, whatabout The Cabbot Centre? As in The Trafford Centre (Manchester).

Or, Cabbot's Quays?

I thought Merchants Quarter was very good!

Best of luck with all this - it'll be interesting to see what name they eventually decide on, and I hope to visit it when it's finished!
Reply:why not just have a compromise and call it Cabbot's Quarter?

circus is shite.
Reply:Cabbots Circus does sound a tad daft. I would have called it New Broadmead with nice logo's of NB here and there???

What about Cabots Broadmead or as someone else said Cabots Centre.

I'm more concerned about the smaller business's in the Old Broadmead area - will they survive - I love my bargains and hate the Mall!!!

.
Reply:I would expect to see lots of clowns and a big top if I was invited to Cabbot's Circus. How about Cabbot's Centre or Cabbot's Galleries.
Reply:How about Broadmead?
