What is the max time that you can claime a charage back on your credit card when you shop online?


I have heard in the past that it's 1 year for online shopping.

I don't have any links, but it depends on the company on what their policy is. Just like regular stores have a return policy timeframe.
Reply:I have no idea. The fine print on those notices they send you is where the answer is. You can also call the customer service number listed on your monthly bill. Best of luck!
Reply:Actually, the time frame is defined by Federal Reg Z for those of us in the US. The details will be spelled out on the back of your cc statement. If memory serves, it's 60 days from the statement where the disputed charge first appears.
