Hows ur on-line shopping experience?
I shop online at all kinds of stores. It depends who has the deal, the coupon and the ship discount. I find all my deals at the website below and it saves me tons of money. I bought my current computer online at costco with free shipping. Shopping online saves me money, bottom line. Good luck with your research!

Shopping males xx funny or true xxx?

Two girlfriends are chatting. "Have you heard about the new husband shopping centre in town?" one asks. "It's a four-floor building where women can go to choose a husband from hundreds of eligible men. The only rule is, once you go up a floor, you can't go down, except to leave the place never to return. Let's try it out."

So, the pair head off to the shopping centre. Climbing the stairs to the first floor, they find a sign on a door reading, "These men have jobs and love kids."

"Well, that's better than not having a job or loving kids," says one, "but I wonder what's further up."

On the second floor, they are greeted by a sign that says, "These men have high-paying jobs, love kids and are extremely good-looking."

The ladies are tempted, but decide to go on.

On the third floor, a sign says, "These men have high-paying jobs, love kids, are extremely good-looking and help with the housework."

SHOPPING IN TORONTO??! plz?

whats good ubran shopping places to shop for clothes and shoes for a 16 year old...other then the eaton's centre?

SHOPPING IN TORONTO??! plz?
You'll find great discounts and trendy clothing on Orfus Road. A 5 minute walk from Yorkdale Mall, it's located just north of Lawrence Avenue and West of Dufferin.

You're bound to find something there, whether it's clothes (e.g. Stitches Outlet, Sirens, Urban Behavior, Le Chateau, Randy River), shoes (Nine West, Si Vous Play Sports) or accessories.

Most of the stores are only open until 7pm during the beginning of the week, but on Thursdays and Fridays they stay open until 9pm. On weekends and most holidays, they're open from 10 -5.

Another place to try is Yorkdale Mall (Dufferin %26amp; 401), and I know Fairview Mall (Don Mills Station) has a couple of urban stores as well.

My family and I intend to go to LA from 20th to 25th DEC and have the

women's fashion and what is the distance from the 4 Seasons Hotel?

* Which are the good antique shops specialising in Art Deco and their

location/distance from the hotel.

* ditto dealers that deal in Antique wristwatches?

*Which is a good Tex/Mex,Mexican,Pizza and Chinese to take along a 9

year old child near Wilshire?

*Where is the best place to get women's eye brows shaped in the

locality of the 4 seasons Hotel?

The following two sites offer general information on tourism in Beverly Hills, including shopping, dining and other interests such as beauty salons and concierge services:

* Art Deco

For Art Deco, I found several dealers of reproductions, but for actual antiques, I came up with Ann Hauck Art Deco

(http://www.annehauckartdeco.com/), which is at 8738 Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles. The website features an online catalog.

The Shapes Collection (www.shapescollection.com) deals in French art deco, and is located at 10201 National Blvd. in Los Angeles. This location is 4.4 miles from the Four Seasons, according to Yahoo! Maps.

* Wristwatches

For Mexican food on Wilshire, Citysearch.com's readers recommend El Cholo, at 1025 Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica. This is approx. 10 miles from the Four Seasons hotel. Also on Wilshire (12217 Wilshire) is Citysearch editors' pick Casa Antigua (approx. 5 miles from the

Four Seasons). They also recommend the kid-friendly Loteria Grill at 6333 W 3rd St. (2 miles from the Four Seasons).

For pizza, the reader poll on Citysearch suggests Mulberry St. Pizza at 240 S. Beverly Dr. in Beverly Hills (1.2 miles from the Four Seasons).

For Chinese, P.F. Chang's China Bistro (121 N. La Cienega Blvd.) is a popular chain restaurant. You might also want to consider a trip to Los Angeles' Chinatown (http://www.chinatownla.com/) for authentic

Chinese food.

For kid-friendly food not in the categories you mentioned, consider Jerry's Famous Deli at 8701 Beverly Blvd. (less than one mile from the Four Seasons). Jerry's is known for its celebrity clientele.

Shopping problem!?!?

My friends kara and haley want me to go shopping with them kara on tuesday and them haley on saturday but i only have 25 dollars and that will hardly get me anything. I tried asking my parents for money but my dad is out of a job and we cant afford much. I know i dont have to buy anything but its so hard not to and i havent been shopping for clothes in a really long time and i NEED some. I have no idea how im going to get money by tomorrow (tuesday) can some one please give me ideas.

I dont like barrowing money from friends so i want to try and avoid that option

Shopping problem!?!?
You just have to accept the fact that you'll only have 25 dollars to spend.
Reply:Do NOT borrow money if you don't have the money to pay it back. That will just get you further into the hole. If you want to go with your friends for the company, go without any money and promise yourself that you won't spend any. If your purpose is to shop, then don't go at all if you don't have the money.
Reply:odd jobs, baby sittin
Reply:25 dollars is enough to buy something. Just decide to be extremely picky in what you buy or have an exact idea of what you want. For example, if you want a sweater in a certain color.

Or you want go to the clearance rack or stores that have sales.
Reply:Do some odd jobs. If you have computer access/internet check Craigslist.org under part time work. sometimes they have flyer delivery jobs that you can do for money that even pay daily. These are just some ideas.
Reply:Here's an idea---save your $25. Wait til you have more to spend and go then.
Reply:do extra chores for money, babysit other families, etc. etc. =]
Reply:go work the corner of your street. ok-just kidding. rob a bank.
Reply:try to find a reletive near by that you can do chores for
Reply:Pawn some old jewellery ??
Reply:Do work for someone. Odd jobs, mowing lawns, garden work, painting, cleaning, babysitting - there's a wealth of options out there. But one day is kinda short notice.
Reply:try just looking for the stuff thats on clearance pebbles her where i live is way expensive but i found my daughter a $50 dress for $2.50 and goodies usually has some good salea ive gotten outfits for under $15 for jeans and a shirt

Reply:I like Newcastle. You've got the city centre and the metro centre to choose from. Happy retail therapy!
Reply:Newcastle is good. There´s a giant outlet by the port in Tyne.
Reply:Glasgow is far better than the four you mention.

Within the City Centre, there are two shopping malls (Buchanan Galleries and St. Enoch), three mainly pedestrian streets (Sauciehall Street, Buchanan Street and Argyle Street), a weekend market (the Barras) and a choice of both national and local shops.
Reply:Glasgow. Dundee is shite. Don't go there.

Manchester is also very good for shopping, but you've already mentioned that one.
Reply:glasgow is supposed to be really good, as is dundee and aberdeen.
Reply:Newcastle has lots of Interesting specialist and local shops, including the Grainger market, along with the Quayside, Metrocentre in Gateshead (Just 15 minutes by bus or train), and Eldon Square shopping centre, plus Northumberland Street - its a great city, full of great people!

Shopping assistance site?

Hi,

I make up wish lists and eventually act upon them when the right time comes or the old basic issue of when the money to buy it is available.

I wanted to find a service/software that would perhaps allow me to manage this across many shopping sites and cross check products to optimize my buying and shipping costs as well as help me prioritize my shopping stuff as sometimes when time passes I forget what's the most important and start off with lesser important things and then money runs out before I get to the stuff I really needed.

My impression that if it's a paid services or software, it'll be somewhat more independent than those swayed by sponsors or commissions.

Help! :-)

Shopping carts hit car.?

When shopping at a DollarTree, I came out of a store with my mom and discovered that two shopping carts hit her car. It was closing time and an employee was bringing in the carts. The employee witnessed the fact that this occured and said she was sorry. One week later after we found out that it would be over $1000 to fix the dents we went to the store to report it (we didn't think it would be that expensive to fix). There are no signs in the parking lot disclaiming responsibility for cart damage. The store has not done anything and the corporate office will not respond to several e-mails. We'd rather not go through our insurance company. I'm not sure where to go from here.

Shopping carts hit car.?
I am unsure if your statement is that an employee actually was pushing carts when this happened, or if an employee saw a cart roll into your car. If there was a person behind the cart that hit your vehicle, it's worth exploring with the grocery store. If a random cart hit your car, it's considered a standard hazard in a parking lot and no one is liable. The store doesn't need to post signs because the lot is private property and driving on it is at your own risk. Depends on what your deductible is with your insurance, too. Here's an example: You have a 500.00 deductible for collision (this is a collision, something collided with your car). The damage comes to 1k. Ask your insurance if your premium will increase for the payout, which is only going to be 500.00 since you pay the difference. If they're not going to increase your premium (and they probably won't since it is a non-fault loss), you can get your car fixed for $500.00. Makes sense?
Reply:Save yourself some greif and report it to your company. The adjusters get paid to sit for hours on the phone and work on-line to help resolve this stuff.
Reply:You can report the claim with the insurance company that insures the store. If it was a plaza you want to file the claim with the insurance on the plaza. If it's a stand alone store you want to file the claim with whoever insures the store they should have business insurance.
Reply:Discuss this with the manager of the store. He probably has some clout with the corporate headquarters. Tell him/her that the store or corporate should reimburse you for the damages because it's the right thing to do, and you wish to settle the matter without the help of an attorney. Also, if the word gets around that the store did not pay, they could get a bad reputation. When you talk to the manager, you will need the employee who witnessed the accident.
Reply:You either need to push a bit more on Dollar Tree, or turn it over to your insurance company.
Reply:You could ask the store to pay for it...but, don't hold your breath.

You could take them to small claims court...but, that would be a big hassle.

You could maybe find a paintless dent repair guy and he might be able to fix the dents for a couple of hundred...if the paint is not broken.

You could pay the insurance deductible and get it fixed by body shop...but then your insurance might go up

The fact is cars get damaged in parking lots...the only way to escape damage is to leave in the garage.
Reply:The store is not responsible, in most states. This is a collision claim, and will only be covered by your insurance if you have collision coverage, and your deductible will apply.

If you don't have collision, your only recourse is to sue the store in small claims court - it's not worth hiring a lawyer, they'll charge at LEAST $150 an hour. But you'll probably lose. Just like you aren't responsible if someone hits a car parked in front of your house.
Reply:I had this happen at a grocery store once. As soon as it happened I got the name of the manager and spoke with the assistant that was on duty that night. The grocery store paid for my damage and now have a sign in the lot warning of this. Since you did not report it to a manager at the time they probably won't pay.

Shopping alone??

i do ownself shopping.Do you think it's weird?i am 14 this year and i seldom see someone my age go shopping by themselves?i like hanging out with friends but they keep on rejecting me and i am tired to ask them out anymore...oh,by the way, what do you think?

Shopping alone??
Yeah you would expect a 14 year old to go shopping with a bunch of friends of their parents, but I don't think it's weird. When your older, you'll prob shop alone often so you are just starting it early. There are also some benefits of shopping alone so look on the bright side =)
Reply:stop worrying about is this normal or what other people think.

Shopping at Goodwill tomorrow and need help!?

Finnally! A day to shop at the store alot of my girlfriends go to and find great deals somtimes. Ex: 3 Coach purses for $15, Juicy Couture dress $20, and lots of other deals theyve had. Can anyone give me a shopping plan on a span of 1 hour 30 mins? Or give me some deal finding tips? I love to get name brands (american eagle, hollister, juicy, abercrombie, coach, or anything cute) and my friends say its hard though. Thanks for the help! I'm going at 9 am.

Reply:It's not a shopping trip, it's a hunting trip. So be patient, be willing to look at EVERYTHING, and don't be disappointed if you don't find a lot of fancy name brands.
Reply:i bet their all fake brands

Reply:that is nasty. you know that those clothes and stuff are for poor people with no money?!?! thats why people donate them after they are done wearing them. you sound cheap. and those are fake brands (duh). no one would sell them that cheap. you must have really cheap girlfriends if they shop there!
Reply:wow...goodwill....how sad....
Reply:Coah and Juicy for so low? Is that possiable? I think they may be fake? Am I right? Or is because they are used? Well, I guess anything is a good deal at the goodwill because i mean they have good in there name? Who knows i neverr shopped theree

London, paris, ireland, scotland shopping destinations! need help!?
I don't know about Paris and Scotland, but I do know about Ireland lol! Here are the shops I love:

Jane Norman (gorgeous clothes, but expensive.)

Miss Selfridge (cute clothes, average price.)

Bay (ditto.)

Penneys (Primark in Britain - Great for a bargain!)

Dorothy Perkins

About TopShop, I personally don't like it, but a lot of people do.

Have fun shopping! Xxx
Reply:Go to a bookstore and buy an attraction book. I bought one that's called PARIS' 25 BEST for like 10 bucks. There should be Europe ones.

In Paris go to: Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, near Haussman blvd. They sometimes do fashion shows. Try the Old Halles marketplace. For designer stores (Gucci, Versace, etc), go to rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.

Good luck and have fun!
Reply:Gurl, what do you mean where do you shop a certain place there are tons of great places to shop just have fun and don't worry about a certain place to shop be a GO GETTER. You may never get to go back in a million years.

Shopping online?

I'm only 14 but i really want to start shopping online cause you don't have to go through ranks and all except my parents won't let me use their credit card so is there another way i can shop online?

Shopping online?
Some websites offer many paying methods- personal check, credit card, money order, etc. But I guarantee that http://amazon.com is a safe online ordering website, even though I think they ONLY require credit cards. But I don't think you should order from http://ebay.com. If you like anime, go to http://zstore.com, they have more methods than paying with credit cards.

Shopping for a new Family Car?

Ok I have been shopping for a new family car, I wanted to go with a ford explorer sport trac, but the safety reviews SUCK! Anyhow while I was shopping I found a 2002 FORD EXPLORER for 10,995 and it has 31,000 miles on it. Is it just me or is this ONE HELL OF A DEAL??? Interior and exterior looks to be in excellent condition. I am hesitant because it seems awfully cheap.......WHat do you think?

Shopping for a new Family Car?
I am POSITIVE that I just answered this question by another asker .........navigate around these questions ..... can 2 people be trying to buy the SAME 02 EXPLORER?.......Is someone selling the same vehicle to 2 different people?? are the 2 buyers related???? [ that may explain the cheap price ] maybe the seller is getting $10,995 from each of you???? I don't know ....

Or maybe its time to turn off my computer.. I'm getting so confused... see also ....stevenk's question earlier about a Family car
Reply:I think you should weigh your options between quality and saftey.

With that said I would recommend a Honda Odyssey as the best family vehicle out there right now. Quality, safety, re-sale value, and a roomy interior.

I was not a van man until I bought my wife a 2006 model. I like it alot. Go test drive one and see for yourself. Do your research!
Reply:Sounds way too good to be true...check it out THOROUGHLY...
Reply:That doesn't sound like a hell of a deal but one worth looking into really close. Check the carfax on this and go to the Blue book and find the range of prices. Right now with the price of gas, guzzlers are dropping like rocks. Have a mechanic look it over for sure. Does that price come from a dealer with a guarantee or a private dealer "as is" Explorers come with higher insurance premuims then a family car too, and the mpg makes it a expensive thing to drive
Reply:31,000 miles for just a four year SUV is a whole lot. It obviously has been used often and won't be as long running and reliable as you'd like it probably. I'd also recommend sticking away from Ford. My family's experiences with Ford is that they regularly need fixing and are sometimes less than reliable.
Reply:Why would you buy a ford? If I were you, I would look into a foreign car maybe, like a Toyota or a Nissan. They are both affordable cars, and from my experience, it seems foreign cars are made better that American cars these days. If a Ford is really what you want, than go with it, but I would also consider another brand of car.

Shopping help?

where would you shop for a 10 year old girl? I know some one thats so picky about shopping for clothes please help

Shopping help?
I would like limited too if i were four years younger, but i don't like their clothes that much now. also, i don't know where, but there is this store called the childerens place, or something like that. it has a lot of clothes that mix and match so you could splurge there and be able to create tons of outfits (for yourself or whoever you are speaking of)
Reply:FIND A FORMAN'S MILLS AND SAVE DOLARS WITH ALL THE LATEST STYLES EVEN IF YOUR PICKY
Reply:there is Gap, Baby Gap, Macys, Limited Too...i personally hate it cuz i am not a big fan or "girl girl stuff"
Reply:well i'm a highschool student, and i know that's waay far apart from a 10 year old, but if she's going to be a middle schooler really soon, then i'd go get clothes from Abercrombie, Hollister, or American Eagle, it's really popular during middle and highschool, and they might be a bit pricey, but you can find some on sale, and they have really cute clothes and outfits. The stores are usually in malls. I've never seen them as individual stores. But i'd also try out macey's and limited too, and gap.
Reply:limited too. they r a little pricey though.

they have cute stuff for girls around that age.
Reply:Limited two!, SANRIO(hello kitty) stores, and any other girly stores!!!
Reply:ok, so even though she is ten, i am a freshman and that is not that far away, and i love

Shopping at Gmarket.com?

has anyone (who does not live in korea) here shopped at Gmarket before? how does the estimated shipping wieght thingy works?

the shipping cost is based on the weight of our purchased item... but for many items, their estimated weight is really crazy... like,a t-shirt is 0.8kg in weight... if i were to buy the shirt, then the shipping cost ends up more expensive than the thing i buy... does anyone here has experience in shopping there?

Shopping at Gmarket.com?
I haven't purchased there for that very reason, that the item wasn't worth the cost + shipping, if you feel the total is worth it then go ahead, if not just bypass them and look elsewhere/

Shopping Cart. HTML Code.?

Hi there,

I have my own html code for a shopping cart for my website. I am using dreamweaver as my website editor. Now i was just wondering do i really need to post the html code for my shopping cart on EACH OF MY ITEM? Is there another way of just pasting the code on just one catalog and the other catalog page will be updated? I just want to make sure that what i am doing is normal bec. I have hundreds of item on my website and i want to try doing it the right way and not waste time. Also I have 13 web pages on my website. and each time i need to add something on my homepage i need to do the same thing one by one on my other pages. Do you know if there's a way like setting up a template for common page and each time i change something on that template it will update the rest of the page? Please let me know.

Thanks!

Shopping Cart. HTML Code.?
I would go ahead and use an open-source shopping cart system, and focus on skinning it to fit your site, rather than making hundreds of product pages.

One great system is OS Commerce:

http://www.oscommerce.com
Reply:You could use server side includes (shtml) for your items then make one file for each item and an include statement on the pages you needed to show them on. The same can be done with xhtml which is newer.

It really is much easier with PHP or ASP active codes. As you add more items you will begin to have management issues.
Reply:Based upon what you just described, here are my suggestions.

1) I would say that you can create a RSS-feed type of thing that has the layout of your page. And then you would use some kind of server-side technology (i.e. ColdFusion, ASP .NET, PHP, ...etc.) to read in this RSS-feed to display the page dynamically.

2) The other way is to keep the name of your pages the same across different sites. When you are done with the changes in one of your sites, you just FTP this page to all of your servers.

Is it illegal for parents to send their child to go shopping for them?

Ok, just like it being illegal for parents to leave children alone at home, is it not illegal for them to send them alone to the shop?

When I popped in to my local shop today, a very cute boy came up to me and kindly asked me 'can you please help me do my mummy's shopping?' and handed me his mother's shopping list. I smiled at him and said 'ofcourse I will', I even asked him how old he was and he replied back saying 'I'm only 6', and when I asked him, where his mummy was he said she was watching tv so wanted him to go to the shops!

You wont believe the shopping list either, it had 2 bottles milk, bread, sugar, bag of chips and self raising flour on it. I mean a shopping like this will even be heavy for me to carry!

Finally he paid, then he thanked me and went out of the shop, really struggling with the two bags on his hands. I felt really sorry for him, I mean why could'nt the mother just do the shopping?

Is it illegal for parents to send their child to go shopping for them?
I would never do that, as there are so many horrid people out there who are out to hurt children.

My kids are 8 and 5, they go nowhere without being accompanied by myself or my husband or another adult.

Irresponsible parenting is what it all boils down to. ANYTHING can happen to a child. Kidnappings/killings occur all the time, no matter where you live.

As for suggestions that the mom is sick or disabled, that doesn't matter. The mom should call someone for help, not send her 6 year old son out.

Someone else said that it's okay for a boy to do so, but not a little girl. Um... WHERE is the logic in that? LOL, kidnappers/killers do NOT choose a certain gender.
Reply:she's probably a fat cow. i would assume it's illegal. you're leaving the child unsupervised. i dont think location really matters.

and to all of you idiots who think it's okay....did you thoroughly read the question and take into consideration that the child is SIX YEARS OLD????
Reply:I'm not sure if it is technically illegal--there are some laws about leaving children alone in cars unattended and alone at home, but I don't see any about sending them out on their own to go get groceries. I'd call the local child services--it's not only sad, but dangerous for the child. Obviously the mother isn't watching him and is too busy watching T.V. to be a mother to him. Even if she is ill or disabled, there are other ways of getting your groceries--sending a child that is in kindergarten or first grade shouldn't be the choice made.
Reply:i dont think dats illegal but the mom is a lazy pig
Reply:I am sorry but even if she is disabled that should be illegal. That is wrong to have a child that young do anything like that on his own. Shame on that mother!!!
Reply:I agree with you, I would never ever send my children shopping alone. Especially at the age of 6, what kind of parent does that to a child. I have 4 children and I am having a 5th child and my oldest child is 15 and I would send him sometimes to get a bread or milk but not a shopping list. My son is at least 15 yrs. old. 6 is too young, his mother should get in trouble for doing that. I would have called children services.
Reply:i don't think it is illegal but i would say that the parent is lazy but it isn't fair on the child having to have that responsibility its just not fair
Reply:I'm baffled at these answers. A six year old should not be out on the streets alone for any reason. I don't care if the mother is disabled or not. The child is SIX. Of course children can help around the house - that doesn't mean what you described above. I don't knkow what makes me sadder - the fact that the mother had such little concern for this boy's safety, or the fact that so many here are not bothered by it at all.
Reply:lazy *****. I doubt it's illegal but perhaps it should be
Reply:That is CRAZY!! Yes it is totally wrong morally- Legally it fits into child endangerment- You couldn't LEAVE your 6 year old home alone, that is illegal. How is it any better to send him out to town on his own??? HE IS ONLY 6!!!, that is kindergarden age for most boys.

Some people should not have children- that poor little boy- lucky you helped him and not a child abductor/molestor. If you see him again doing the same thing, you should intervene and turn in lazy, selfish mother in to the authorities. I have three little boys 4-10-14, and that story makes me sick and very sad for him and his home life...

I don't buy the whole disabled mom thing either- if that was the case she would be on a program for groceries to be delivered, or have help for issues like that...
Reply:No, its not illegal. Frankly I don't have a problem with sending a kid to the store if its within walking distance..for ONE or TWO things...but that is all...That was WAY TOO MUCH to ask out of a 6 year old!!
Reply:Dont know if its illegal or not, but my mother used to send me to the shop when i were younger, fair enough she didnt send me to get that much stuff. Good thing about it was that she said i could keep the change!
Reply:i totaly agree with kol i dont think a 6 year old should go out shopping i have a daughter and would never send her out to the shop you never know what idiots are about just because there is somthing wrong with them dosent give them the right to send there 6 year old out some parents need a wake up call they should never have had kids in the first place
Reply:In the UK it is NOT actually illegal to leave your children at home, UNLESS 'something' happens! There is no age limit, or 'legal age' when it is OK yo leave them, it is entirely at the parent's discretion.

I think you going home with the child to speak with his parent has been the most sensible answer on here. I think that I would have done that, at least helped him carry the stuff home, let her see what she was doing.
Reply:sounds like crappy parenting, but i dont think it is illegal.
Reply:6 years old is too young. That's a job for teens. I would think it would fall under child neglect of some kind when you have a child that young out by himself. Ask a local cop. I’m disables and my son helped me out when he was little, but it was with age appropriate stuff, not adult work. This person should have gotten an adult to help her out and not expect her 6 year old to do adult work. There are senior centers out there that will help out seniors and the disable with this kind of stuff. Usually free or a small charge if you can afford it.
Reply:She's an idiot. Making a child do grown-up things of that sort is cruel. Plus, anyone could have kidnapped him! I don't even let my kids play in our front yard without me outside!
Reply:it's not illegal but i think that that mother is really wrong for sending her 6 year old in to do her shopping. what is wrong with some ppl in this world today?
Reply:I don't think it's illegal. Maybe it ought to be. It's kind of dangerous. My mom wouldn't let me cross the street on my own at that age. I did do shopping for her occasionally when I was a young grade schooler, but I was older than this kid, the store was only a block away, and I usually had a brother or sister with me. Maybe I always did. It has been so long I don't remember for sure. Asking a kid that small to carry all that stuff by himself is cruel.
Reply:Oh please - don't believe the sob stories about the mum being disabled, if she was disabled and had a 6 yr old child she would have help!

This is bad irresponsible parenting through and through. I have a 10 yr old and he will cycle up to our local shop for a paper for me, but only because he wants to. I would never send my 6 yr old to the shops! When i do the shopping (big shop) my 6 %26amp; 3 yr old will gladly get the stuff off the shelves for me, but never carry any of the heavy stuff - maybe the toilet rolls or kitchen roll.

People don't deserve kids!
Reply:Perhaps she had severe disabilities and was unable to leave the house?
Reply:No its not illegal. More children should be helping out nowadays. Do you expect her to do everything?? If you have time to play on the computer, you have time to help
Reply:I don't think that it is illegal, unless the parent is really abusing the child. What you described seems totally legal.
Reply:well this is not a question i can answer very good, but i'll try. If a "mother" send her little child to go to the store she might be in a personal struggle ex: drugs, alchol, divorce and cant handle it including in public. Well, u should have tooken the boy home (to his) and talked to his mother. even maybe he sneeked out with his moms shopping list for that afternoon to surprise her. don't worry about anyone elses response to u there just being immature brats. wat u did was right
Reply:He is 6 thats a good age for a boy...I see parents do it all the time they are showing there young boys the proper way of becoming a man..and there is nothing wrong with that if it was a little girl hopefully the mother would be in the car now a days its not safe for a little girl but me as a parent i can see sending my 6 years old son to the store to buy some groceries i have seen them carry more than that and i think its a good thing to do for a boys sake perhaps..
Reply:not if they want to.
Reply:the mom was probably sick or disabled. mind your own business. i do it all the time for my mom...she's disabled though.

Shopping early?

It was coming up to Christmas and the Judge was in a jolly frame of mind.

"Now then, please tell me, what is the charge against you?"

" I was caught doing my Christmas shopping very early." replied the man in the dock.

"That doesn't seem like an offence to me. What do you mean by 'very early?

"Well, your Honour." said the defendant, "It was before the shop was open."

Shopping on the internet, do you prefer a quick check out, or user name and password w/ account?

Would you drop a shopping cart if the website selling a product that you would like to buy forces you to sign up for an account before buying from them; Or would you rather buy from an e shop that offered quick check-out, no account, no login and no password.

Account or no account?

Shopping on the internet, do you prefer a quick check out, or user name and password w/ account?
I personally like the quick- because I don't like my credit card info-- and all the other info out there -- but, I do it both ways.
Reply:account... i dont like that quick stuff than i feel like my order is not gonna get to me if i dont put the account stuff in myself

Shopping With Family???

Here's the thing... my mom doesn't really like shopping with me, cuz i like browsing but she doesn't really do that. The rest of my family r guys, so they especially hate shopping. How do i ever buy new clothes if i don't have the money?

My parents won't lend me money so i can go by myself, do u have any advice???

Shopping With Family???
Ooooooh, the mom not liking to shop, we fall into the same category. Blegh. It's no fun, but we must deal with it. I reccomend looking for what you want to buy online and just go into store knowing what you want so you don't peeve your mom. Pick more department stores, I've noticed that smaller store make parents and brothers a little ansy. Or you can go to the mall with them aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnd a friend and ask to roam, find what you like and ask for the cash. Shopping with brothers is actually quite fun, they're just such a pain in the *** its almost funny. Just try and enjoy and you'll slowly learn how to work these people.

good luck ;)

Reply:If you are old enough, get a job.
Reply:Well you can sell somethings that you don't want anymore on EBAY or you can get a job. I'm not saying get a job at a restuarant but maybe you could babysit or do chores for some money. If you can mow lawns do that. Or you can bake things and sell them to your neighborhood. I hope you get all the money u need. I'm trying to get out this weekend too with my mom which is hard since she's always tired. Maybe a friend could take you. If you have a birthday coming up maybe you can get some money from that. Good Luck!
Reply:Get a boyfriend, they usually buy stuff for their girl. ....I know I have to.

Or a job... not sure how old you are though.
Reply:go shopping with friends and make them pay for the stuff you buy. then when you get your allowance pay them back

Shopping in Paris?

im going to paris on tuesday and i will be shopping alone.

firstly is it safe travelling on the metro alone? (im 16)

and secondly..shops and malls where i can buy things which arent very expensive...im not looking for Channel or YSL or anything like that.

thnx

Shopping in Paris?
I've been in Paris this summer...the metro is not safe especially in the evening or early morning. Be careful with your pockets. Put your Ipod, cell phone and cash in a safe place. As for shopping I don't really know places as I visited places during my stay. I can recommend a shopping gallery at the base of Le Tour de Montparnasse...again be careful in that area because there are freaky people near Montparnasse railroad station
Reply:thnx everyone...i just came back and i had an AMAZING time...the metro is soo safe. nothing to worry about at all.

galeries lafayette and printemps are very expensive. but rue du rivoli and the opera one are filled with great shops. Report It

Reply:Great places for shopping are the Galleries Lafayette, and also Printemps ! There's the flee market on Sunday too , in Porte de Clignancourt... huuuge market, cheap stuff, some of it even cool.
Reply:The metro's definately safe. Just make sure you have your wallet and any other valuables in a pocket where it's hard to get to. I wouldn't put anything valuable in your front or back pocket of your pants.

As for shopping, I went when I was 14 or 15 (I'm 16 now) and department stores are NOT a good idea if you want less expensive clothes (even Bon Marché, which is "Good Deal" in French, is really expensive. I bought a hat for 35 euros, which was 40-some dollars when I went). If you're looking for shoes, Bata is definately worth taking a look at. There are loads of them in Paris. Also boutiques are fun, I went to one called "Antoine et Lili" which had really cute clothes that were decently priced. But you have to be adventurous. Window shopping is so much fun, and you're bound to find lots of cool things for a good price, you've just got to explore!
Reply:Metro seems safe. Just be careful of the guys, they like to express themselves a little too much if they like you. I don't know about stores, but I hope you have fun. I might go there or to Germany over the summer!
Reply:take me with you. No dot take the train by your self
Reply:I went to Paris in August and was surprised to see how crowded the Metro stations were! It is EXTREMELY busy in the morning and from 6 to 8 pm, so your personal items have a good chance of being stolen from these thousands of people. (I've seen a drunk guy chasing a girl coming off of the subway, so it can be dangerous!) Just be sure not to look like you're travelling alone, try staying near some people.

An alternative way to get around Paris is by bus, train, or a Tour Bus that stops at the main attractions.

As for shopping, the Champ-Elysees have great shops but are expensive. There's even a Louis Vuitton store there.

Try shopping around Pont-Neuf (the Metro has a stop for there) because there are so many little shops and restaurants!

But in general, Paris is full of shops just about everywhere. Enjoy your trip! :)
Reply:INSTAED OF METRO I WILL SUGGEST U THE BUS WHICH WILL HELP U TO SEE MAXIMUM PLACES AND ITS SAFE ALSO, U CAN VISIT LAFAYAT OR ANY OTHER SHOPPING MALL WHERE U CAN BUY GOOD ITEMS EVEN U CAN BY ON THE RODE SIDE SHOPS WHICH ARE REASONABLY ECONOMIC,
Reply:it's pretty safe, the metro. but if you hear a man say something to you like " ca va" ignore them. that means they fancy you. " ca va" is used only for people you know or when you are trying to hit on someone. so..... oh, and the best place to go shopping for bargain stuff, like nonexpensive is le defense. go on the metro, stay on ligne one, ligne one should have station names such as: franklin roosevelt, charles de gualle etoile and stuff. but get off on le defense, there are two platforms that have somehting like that so becareful and try not to get lost. it's the first one, first stop. have fun!
Reply:take me too, i speak some french
Reply:First of all, if you don't speak French, then it is better for you to stay around the tourist areas : departemental stores (Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, Champs Elysées, and also Shopping Mall in Les Halles). If you know some French, then you may dare to cheaper places, where the French people go for shopping : Barbès area, markets in the peripheral districts of Paris (13th up to 20th), flee market in Clignancourt-St-Ouen, and also the hypermarkets (there is a Carrefour at Porte de Bercy). I usually advise friends to buy their souvenirs around Montmartre (Church of sacred heart).

In case you are interested in something specific, please ask for it, but more precisely.

More information at http://paris.c-lafrance.com/Loisirs-Visi...

Of course, if you want to go around Paris have a look at http://paris.c-lafrance.com/

As for safety in the metro : don't show off ! Nerver put purse and valuable things in back sack.

Be cautious of young gypsy kids begging for money : they may use razor blade to cut your sacks.

Enjoy anyway your shopping !

Shopping at Wal-Mart ??

One day, in line at the company cafeteria, Joe says to

Mike behind him, My elbow hurts like hell. I guess

I'd better see a doctor.

"Listen, you don't have to spend that kind of money,"

Mike replies.

"There's a diagnostic computer down at Wal-Mart. Just

give it a urine sample and the computer will tell you

what's wrong and what to do about it.

It takes ten seconds and costs ten dollars . . . A lot

cheaper than a doctor."

So, Joe deposits a urine sample in a small jar and

takes it to Wal-Mart.

He deposits ten dollars, and the computer lights up

and asks for the urine sample. He pours the sample

into the slot and waits.

Ten seconds later, the computer ejects a printout:

"You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water

and avoid heavy activity. It will improve in two

weeks. Thank you for shopping @ Wal-Mart."

That evening, while thinking how amazing this new

technology was, Joe began wondering if the computer

could be fooled.

He mixed some tap water, a stool sample from his dog,

urine samples from his wife and daughter, and a sperm

sample for good measure.

Joe hurries back to Wal-Mart, eager to check the

results. He deposits ten dollars, pours in his

concoction, and awaits the results.

The computer prints the following:

1. Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener.

(Aisle 9)

2. Your dog has ringworm. Bathe him with anti-fungal

shampoo. (Aisle 7)

3. Your daughter has a cocaine habit. Get her into

rehab.

4. Your wife is pregnant. Twins. They aren't yours.

Get a lawyer.

5. If you don't stop playing with yourself, your elbow

will never get better!

Thank you for shopping @ Wal-Mart"

Shopping for school supplies!!!?

Hey! I just have a few questions regarding shopping for back-to-school supplies:

1) Who does it in yourn family?

2) Do you enjoy it? Why or why not?

3) What are your favorite stores to go back-to-school supply shopping?

4) What is usually on your list?

5) When do you go to buy the supplies?

6) When do you think is the best time to go (regarding crowds, items being in stock, etc.)?

Ok, so last year I started school a week before my bro started (I go to private, he goes to public), and on his very first day, he needed some more supplies than he had already purchased a few weeks earlier. So for my final question,

7) Why was this so?

Thank you for your answers in advance.

Shopping for school supplies!!!?
I'm no longer in school but I used to hate it. I was glad when Office Max opened here in town because my whole family could get supplies there, the little kids' even could see the supply lists posted on the walls if they forgot to bring their lists.

My younger brothers liked being dragged along by Mom to get the supplies, they'd be all like "I want THAT color notebook" but I couldn't care less and was like "Leave me home, just buy this stuff and I don't care what color because I have better things to do."
Reply:1) Who does it in yourn family? I do my own shopping.

2) Do you enjoy it? Why or why not? I enjoy it. I like buying school supplies.

3) What are your favorite stores to go back-to-school supply shopping? Office Depot

4) What is usually on your list? I'm going to be a junior in high school so binders, paper, pens/pencils, etc.

5) When do you go to buy the supplies? July

6) When do you think is the best time to go (regarding crowds, items being in stock, etc.)? When there is a sale.

Ok, so last year I started school a week before my bro started (I go to private, he goes to public), and on his very first day, he needed some more supplies than he had already purchased a few weeks earlier. So for my final question,

7) Why was this so? Some teachers ask for extra supplies. Sometimes you don't know what you need for a class till the first day.

2. i always enjoy it!! its the only part of starting school that i actually have fun with! i love picking all the stuff out!1

3. Mostly Target and sometimes Wal-Mart

4. notebooks, pens/pencils, pencil pack, folders, lined paper, erasers, markers/colored pencils, protractor, backpack, etc.

5. usually like the first or second week in august

6. right when the stores get their school supplies is the best time to go. even if there are crowds, there is more of a chance that items you need will be in stock.

7. i have no idea
Reply:1. Since I am still in school, I always go shopping with my twin sister and my mom or dad.

2. I do enjoy shopping for school supplies because I get all excited to start school again, and the feeling of having new and better supplies than the previous year fells great!

3. My favorite stores to shop for school supplies are Wal-Mart and Target. Target for the book bag, and Wal-Mart for the basic supplies.

4. Usually on my school's list is basic stuff like binders, folders, notebooks, glue, paper, calculator, pencils, pens, ruler, ect.....

5. Depending on who I am shopping with is when I get the supplies. If I'm with my dad, I usualy get my supplies within the first week the set up the display. If I'm with my mom, I ususaly get the supplies about a week befor I go back to school.

6. I think the best time to shop pfor school supplies it within the first couple of weeks they go on display. That way you get a wider selection, not a lot of crowds, and the prices are very reasonable.

7. Your brother probably had to get more supplies because public school's scheduals are constantly changing, while private school's are mostly decided befor school even starts.

Hope this helped!
Reply:When I was your age (more than 1/2 a century ago)

1) My mom did it until I got thru High School, then when I got to College I did the school supply shopping

2) In college, I went to the bookstores on and around campus, then when got older I figured out that some art supply stores sold some supplies cheaper than the school bookstores, then even later I found the stores where the teachers go to get their supplies, and they even better pricing

3) I no longer do school supply shopping, but I do use similar supplies %26amp; get them from Office Depot, Office Max, various drug stores ... I have shopped around a bit %26amp; found that some stores are in the business of lying to their customers ... e.g. use this generic ink cartridge ... then I had to pay 1/3 the price of the printer to get it fixed

4) what was on my list is probably not relevant to today ... when I was in academic schooling, we did not yet have "official" access to computers (I had unofficial access), so supplies there a different world (I worked with punched cards)

6) I procrastinate a lot, so I am often buying them a week or so before school ... I suggest that a month or two in advance is better at college because there is a better selection of text books

7) similar to 6

Reply:online shopping avoid the crowd and easy to browse many things. You can try http://www.savezillas.com it provides many good coupons for lots of stores like macys, walmart, office depot, footlocker, dell for anything from ipod, laptop, halloween, shoes, perfumes... Report It

Reply:traditional shopping cos u get to touch and feel stuff. more personal
Reply:Depends on what I am buying. Strange though .. even five years ago I was totally against buying anything off the web. I had see it and touch it before I bought something. Now, I am buying a lot on the interent.
Reply:Depends on what you're buying. Fresh produce, for example, should definitely not be bought online. Electronics, on the other hand, are often discounted online.

Shopping in San Francisco?

I'm going to be heading to San Francisco this Xmas, and I'm going to be shopping one day. I'm looking for a mall/outlet containing A%26amp;F, Hollister and Aeropostale. Mainly those shops because we don't have them in Canada. Any good malls/outlets I should visit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thx!! Suzy from Canada

Shopping in San Francisco?
San Francisco Center, definitely.

It's got EVERYTHING you'd be looking for during Xmas.
Reply:Go Downtown. There's the Westfield mall and the San Francisco Shopping Centre. There's A%26amp;F, Hollister and Aeropostale there. SF Downtown has a variety of different stores and places to shop. Have fun. :]
Reply:You might want to check out Stones Town Galleria. They have most well known stores there. For just plain fun tourist shops and restaurants, you can't beat Pier 39, close to Fisherman's Wharf.
Reply:My favorites are: Stonetown Gallery, Union Square, Downtown and more.

Some of my favorite store:

3251 20th Ave. 865 Market St.

Enjoy and have fun SHOPPING!!
Reply:Stonetown Galleries, Union Square, downtown. You would enjoy shopping in San Francisco and I mean it.

Shopping alone?

I'm 13 (although i look 16) and i'm planning to go shopping by myself today because everyone's too busy. Has anyone ever went shopping alone before? Is it alot easier because you can go where you want, whenver you want?

Shopping alone?
I've never been shopping alone. I think it would be a lot harder, because you don't have anybody to help you. You don't have anyone to hold the clothes, or tell you how you look. Good luck.
Reply:ive shopped alone a few times, when whoever was with me had to like shop in another department at the other end of the store, and i like it alot. i went to the grocery store once completley by myself. it was ok. but i had a list and had to get done quick. but i still think shopping alone is fun! and yeah it is alot easier. but dont get freaked - one time i got real freaked out when i was shopping by myself but then i realized noting would happen and i was calm and i enjoyed my self - its supposed to be fun!!!

HAVE FUN!
Reply:I've been shopping once alone.

I like it, but sometimes its harder, like you don't have a second opinion.

But I like it cuz you can go wherever, whenever, and you can try anything on. you have the freedom :)
Reply:i have....it is a bit harder because you don't have a second opinion on anything you buy
Reply:hmm. i've been shopping alone once or twice and its not fun because you dont get to have compliments made on you, or insults that will make you think twice. =) a girls got to shop though. so go ahead but consider what other people would say to you if they did see you in that jacket or shirt.
Reply:don't go alone. its dangerous and reallllllllllly borin. i'm in the same grade as you but liike i always call up my friends to hang with me. so then my friends and i would all be able to shop together. and its more fun. =] hope iv'e helped.
Reply:I shop alone alot since I live a bit far from my friends since i graduated college and all my friends live an hour away. Since im not a big shopper i like it better sometimes cause you can go where you want and dont have to worry about other people not wanting to be there you can relax, although sometimes it can be tough cause you dont have a second opinion in times like that buy it and bring it home and show people if they dont like it or you change your mind return it or i will put it on hold til the next day and bring someone with me the next day.
Reply:I HATE shopping alone (unless its for underthings!) Theres nobody to tell you what looks good, to help point out things you may have missed on the racks, or to offer to pay ;) hehe

Shopping Spree?

I am planning a shopping spree for myself next year during the summer. My friend and I are preparing by saving 1000$ each, and we will be shopping for a day or two. What stores totally rock? They have cute stuff, and decent prices? I wouldn't probably pay over 100 for one shirt though!

Shopping Spree?
To make your money go farther, Old Navy, Limited, even Target....

Or try an outlet for Polo, Tommy Hilfiger...
Reply:Oh, can I come along. Love shopping!

Go to outlet/discount malls they offer a variety of shops for all your shopping pleasure.

Also H%26amp;M, Forever 21 are cool.
