Pasadena Shopping & Dining?????

Heading to Old Town Pasadena with an out of town friend to do some shopping %26amp; lunch. We plan on starting in Old Town-what's not to miss %26amp; where should we eat lunch? Also, some other great shopping areas in Pasadena ie clothing %26amp; home decor stores??

Pasadena Shopping %26amp; Dining?????
There are so many good restaurant spots in Old Town. It just depends what kind of food you're hankering for. You might enjoy Villa Sorriso. It's good italian, and they have a very lovely patio facing Colorado Blvd. If you're looking for a chic spot, Twin Palms has a nice outdoor area. There is also a great french spot, Cafe Bizou (although they don't have outdoor seating), and next to it is a great tea sandwich girly girl spot called the Chado Tea Room.

For more shopping, Paseo Colorado is an upscale shopping center very close to Old Town.

What's not to miss? The Norton Simon Museum is at the begining of the Old Town strip if you like art. Shopping-wise, you'll find a lot of the mainstream stores. I'd suggest wandering off Colorado Blvd onto some of the side streets to find some of the more charming little shops.

Enjoy!
Reply:It all depends on what type of food you'd like to have. Whenever I go to Pasadena, I eat at Sushi Roku. It's a little more on the pricey side, but worth it. The waiters are very nice and give you great recommendations. Twin Palms is also a really well-known restaurant in Old Town Pasadena. I heard that it's owned by Kevin Costner, the movie star! Most of the time when I pass by, there's always some type of private event going on, so you might want to call ahead to see if it's booked. Mi Piace is an Italian restaurant that is also popular. It's a little less than Sushi Roku or Twin Palms money-wise but the food is spectacular. It can get crowded at times, but when it does, they have an amazing bar where you can hang and get drinks. If you're up for dessert, a Pinkberry opened up in Pasadena. Since Pinkberry is oh so popular, it might be a nice place to take your friend (if he/she's never had it). If that's a little too boring for you, down on Fair Oaks, there's a soda fountain that makes the best ice cream sundaes. It's called Fair Oaks Pharmacy/Soda Fountain. It's still a working pharmacy but it's also a soda fountain/gift shop. They have some nifty vintage toys, candies, gifts there. It's always an awesome place to check out.

Shopping-wise, there are a lot of small and large stores in Old Town. Some of the larger and better-known stores are Forever 21, FCUK, Banana Republic, Urban Oufitters, and H%26amp;M. There's also Paseo, which is close to Old Town. Paseo's a shopping center with more stores, restaurants, and a movie theatre. If you go to www.paseocoloradopasadena.com/ there's an entire directory of stores and shops. You can also find directions on there. Good luck!
