Do you need to make a shopping list?

to take with you for your weekly trip to the shops i dont buy shopping weekly i dont need to because i dont have any one to shop for but my mam doesnt need a shopping list she buys almost the same items every week and probably knows were it all is in the shop

Do you need to make a shopping list?
If I don't make a list I forget what I've gone in for and end up buying a load of cr@p instead of what I really need!


If I do make a list I end up leaving it on the fridge at home and end up racking my brains walking up and down the aisle trying to remember what was on it! ( I always forget something!!)

if i need it for a party and i'm baking up a storm then yes not to forget certain things





or when it's somthing you nee badly or a basic nesccesity than your not going to forget it,well for me I don't so i usually don't have it.

Reply:I shop on-line and they store a list of the items you buy each week. I refer to it always as otherwise I would forget stuff.

Reply:I know where most stuff is in my local supermarket but I still take a list cos without one I forgot the joint for Sunday dinner three times! And I still buy stuff that's not on the list too.
Reply:Yes. How else are you supposed to remember what you need. There are people out there who are on VERY tight budgets.





Shops move there stock around every couple of months.
Reply:Yes, I pick out what I am going to make for the week (I usually have some old favourites, plus a few new recipes), so then I need to write out what I need for the recipes.





Also, it helps me to avoid buying unhealthy snacks and also avoids me buying too much food which ends up going off in the fridge!

Reply:i put everything into Excel on my Sprint phone %26amp; price comparison most stores, then I plan my shopping trips around the items we need that week.

also if i go shopping without a list i get destracted by all the offers.so i write a list and buy only whats on the list.i save money doing it like that.
