Shopping in Stockholm-Sweden?

I am planning my first trip to Stockholm around April 20th. I plan to do some shopping there during my trip (clothes, toys, gifts,...). Does anyone know if this is a good time for sales and bargain deals (I am not sure when is the sales season in EU)? and if there are any suggestions on where to go there for shopping deals, I would be grateful.

So, you´re heading over here after Easter...no particular sales here at that time. Of course different stores have sales but it´s not season for it right now. Shopping here in Stockholm isn´t that cheap, but of course you can get cheap deals at various stores.

If you wanna go shopping for up scale clothes etc, Norrmalm is the place. All around the city center you´ve got the bigger chains, department stores and malls. All within walking distance. If you head to Gamla Stan (Old Town) you can get all the touristy stuff and some more.

There are also some great malls outside the city center. Kista Gallerian has a huge amount of stores, movie and food court and is situated about 20 minutes outside the city center. You can get there by tube.
Reply:Stockholm is a popular trade place. There are sales three times a year: on Christmas, at the end of January and in the middle of summer. Trade places are specializing in design, fashion and interior decoration.
