Detroit & Shopping?

Is Detroit, MI a good place to shop?

Can you name some good malls?

Is Detroit cheap for shopping?

Thanks

Detroit %26amp; Shopping?
The key to Detroit shopping is Troy at the Sommerset collection. It has most of the high end stores that you can imagine. I would not say its cheaper than any other mall in the US. If you want cheap clothing head to Prague.
Reply:I wouldn't shop in the city unless you want to get mugged. Shop outside of the city. There are many malls around here. Also a lot of strip malls. Detroit itself is not cheap for shopping because of the level of shoplifting that goes on. They must raise their prices to make up for it. Some decent malls are all outside of the city. Southland, Westland... (malls)
Reply:Detroit has lots of strip malls. For a close mall near Detroit go to eastland in Harper Woods
Reply:no one actually really goes to detroit michigan to shop.

go to the surrounding suburb citys thats where all the malls and stores are.

try sommerset mall, or lakes side mall.

there the best ones ive been to.
Reply:Great Lakes Crossing on I75 by Pontiac is a huge mall with all the shops. Pretty good prices too.

If you go north on I75 to Birch Run, about 45 minute drive, there a good discount mall and that is where we shop.

In the city of detroit proper, the only thing you will find is junk like they sell at swap meets.

if you want to find decent stuff you have to go to the suburbs, there are malls everywhere.
