Shopping in Hong Kong?

We are leaving for Hong Kong this week for four days, I wondering if anyone could recommend good shopping places and night markets and how to get there? I am interested in shopping for clothes and electronics. The hotel that we booked is in tsim sha tsui. Thanks!

Shopping in Hong Kong?
Tsim Tsa Tsui is a good area for shopping. During daytime, walk along the strip of Nathan Road where branded items are, look for sales and discounts offered. You can also go to Canton and Granville for sports goods, accessories and clothes.

Tip: Never leave the hotel without a map. Familiarize yourself first with the area you need to go so that you can plan ahead of time.

At night, go to Ladie's Night Market, I think they open at 6pm. Located in the heart of Mongkok District, Tung Choi Street is known by the locals as "Ladies Market" or "Women's Street". It is mainly "soft" goods that you would find there - clothing, clothing, and clothing. Well, there are also dolls, small rugs, towels, popouri, etc.

If your going to the other side, Hon Kong island, shop in Wan Chai. It has a mix of the modern and the traditional. This street market is a typical place where the locals shop for a variety of household goods like china, clothing, and odds and ends. It is directly south of the Wanchai MTR station. Part of it is on Tai Yuen Street which is perpendicular to the Johnston Road along which the trams run in this part of Hong Kong Island.

Causeway Bay - for the locals living on Hong Kong Island, this is pretty much the "grand central" when it comes to shopping. Most of the action is concentrated around the MTR station - which has exits going as far as the Times Square. The pedestrain crossing on Yee Wo Street in front of Sogo Department store is often so crowded that the traffic light is not long enough for all to finish crossing the road. With the shortage of street-level stop space, a lot of restaurants have moved upstairs. There are buildings with multiple restaurants on various floors.

Wherever you go, just bargain and ask for discounts. Be safe and enjoy :)
Reply:look into Jhonston Road and Luard road in Wan Chai. They supposed to have overruns of brand name chlothing there. H%26amp;M in Central also just opened, you can find it in mid-valley escalators. I don't know if its still there but I went to an Esprit Outlet Store in the basement of the building beside the Space museum. there's also mongkok (mongkok MTR)shopping. this is night shopping near Temple Street. Just a tip when going shopping in a night market don't touch the merchandise unless you are planning on buying it, unless you want the shopkeeper to scream at you if you don't buy it. also don't stand or walk slow in the middle of the platform in the MTR station, you'll get run over buy the commuters changing trains. Hope you have a nice trip. and they give out free map in the airport, just look for them.
Reply:TST (TsimShaTsui) is the good place for shopping. Particulary Nathan Road.

If you are looking for cheap %26amp; good things, visit ChungKing mansion in Nathan Road (TST), next to Imperial Hotel. Full of Indian shops and you can get cell fones, electronics items for cheap. Even clothes too.

And even you can exchange Hong Kong dollar in the exchange counters inside this Chung King mansion, particular in Indian exchange centres. Otherwise in otherplaces, you will get cheated for sure.

Beware, in Nathan Road, outside the ChungKing Mansion, there are lot of electronics shops available. Beware on prices and fake items. Be sure to ask them whether the price they are telling is U.S. Dollar or Hong Kong Dollar. Because they started telling you in Hong Kong dollar and ended up with U.S. Dollars if they found you have lot of money on hand.

Beware of Pick-pockets in Kowloon.

For electronins items, in Chung King Mansion, on 1st floor, there is a shop called "Munisons". Itz a small shop. But they are giving very good price and latest models.
Reply:Take a visit into my site "Travel Hong Kong Attractions" - it offers you a top-notch information on "how to get there" and also, where else you can go from there.
