Shopping Options in Singapore? Branded or unbranded. I have only 1 day for shopping so plz temme wer i can go?
ORCHARD ROAD!!! For branded stuff, you can go to Takashimaya, Wisma Atria and Paragon. For unbranded stuff, you can go to Fareast where there are great buys. Alternatively, you can go to Vivocity (a pretty new shopping mall) and spend a whole day there. A very big shopping mall with shops, entertainment and food under one roof. The mall is so big it will take one complete day. Many restaurants and food courts available for you to choose a place to have a meal at. Hope this helps. :)
Reply:I will suggest that you stick to Orchard Road as well. Branded stuff can be found in the major malls along Orchard Road. For cheap stuff or street wear, check out Far East Shopping Centre or The Hereen. There are plenty of restaurants everywhere, even vegetarian, so don't worry about food.
You can get refunds as a tourist, just check with the information counters in the shopping malls. All of our taxis run on meters, so there's no need to haggle over cab prices.

Reply:Hi if your looking for an alternative shopping experience you may like to take a look at Haji Lane (near Arab street,Bugis). Theres a number of independent shops selling things you dont normally find in the malls. Ann Siang Hill is also another good option.Expect designer labels from certain shops from both places.
Eating in Singapore shouldnt be much of a problem. Taxi rates are affordable but higher than some South East Asian nations

Reply:Stay on Orchard Rd/ Scotts Rd, the shopping district of Singapore. Go mall hopping there, u'll be spoilt for choice (assuming u're shopping for clothes/ shoes). For cheap vegetarian food (about S$3-5 per plate) go to Far East Plaza on Scotts Rd. There are 2-3 such stalls there. Taxi fare is not cheap but affordable. Cabs are all metered - avoid touts that charge u a flat fee.
Hope u'll enjoy ur time here!
