New wardrobe shopping -- now or after christmas?

Quite a number of new items of clothing is needed as my old stuff is already worn, but the shops are overcrowded as Christmas is coming. Is there any strategy of shopping so as to save some money and not overspend due to Christmas fever. Could it be better to venture for new wardrobe shopping after christmas/new year holidays?

New wardrobe shopping -- now or after christmas?
after ...way more stuff for your money??!!!
Reply:There are so many sales before christmas to get stuff out the door that I think that before is the best bet. After would be fine too but not as many sales.
Reply:wait for the after christmas sales. They are the best.
Reply:I think that you should go b4 Christmas because after Christmas all of the stores will have nothing after all the people take the merchandise, (if you are dating or married try some lingerie to make THIS CHRISTMAS ROMANTIC!!!!!!!!!

But then again the stores might restock.

DEFINITELY BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Do 4 you(as long as you don't have kids. If you do have kids then spend about $150 on necessities for you, if no kids spend like the wind.) Just save for bills, food, and car note !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:nothing wrong with hitting the before xmas sales if you cant wait but try and shop during off peak times like while people are working during the day. after xmas sales are great as well. someone mentioned day after xmas which is BAD. that is the day a lot of people have off and everyone is out spending gift cards and returning gifts. since xmas is in the middle of the week i would hold off on that weekend as well for those that are working all week ;)
Reply:day after christmas. best sales. no people. the bomb :]
Reply:after so that u can have the christams sale or even better after new years so u can staart the year off with new clothes and proly less people at stores because they spent so much money on the holidays or dont need anything else
Reply:Hm.. Well it's possible all the good clothing will be gone by the time Christmas is over, but if it's not there's always the Christmas sale afterwards. Sorry, it's a tough choice :/
